To discuss 20 photos you need approximately half an hour. Although one may customize this.
The packages are arranged by theme; in this way you can choose a package that suits the personal preferences of the person the intervention is for. During the pilot research, it became evident that often people react positively when photos suit their personal preference. Expectedly, people experience more joy with themes that suit their world.
On the other hand, we advice to also experiment with other packages because people often react well when seeing empathic images found in the so-called happy packages.
We maintain snapshots within photography. The effect of dementia, on the other hand, is that memories slowly dissolve into nothing. These contradictory attributes seem to be an open invitation to connect photography with the disease profile of dementia.
In a time when daily countless photographs are made and shared, the possibilities of photography as a medium, continues to grow. In this context, it is interesting to look at photographs from its functional attributes and to further research the possibility of using photographs for therapeutic aims.

The photos in the packages originate from an image database composed of existing images by Aëgerter.
